Overview

Enjoy your 6 days as you take a visit to the mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest, visit the Batwa community. You have a chance to see the tree climbing lions which is only found in Uganda as they try to escape away from the ground heat. Enjoy the Savannah grasslands of Queen Elizabeth Park with the 4 big five, elephants, hippopotamus, buffaloes, lions go for a boat cruise on kaziga channel.

Day 1: On arrival at the airport
Your tour guide/drive will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel to rest as you wait for your marvelous and memorable safari to all Uganda national parks for the adventure. It depends on your time of arrival.

Day 2: Drive to Bwindi
Your driver will pick you up from the airport, lodge, and hotel or at your place of stay within Kampala. You will then drive to Bwindi in the south-western part of Uganda passing through a memorable part of the country referred to as “the Switzerland of Africa”, Due to its physical appearance with hilly landscape, covered with cultivated terraces by the “bakiga people”, tropical rain forests and lakes (mostly craters) which is good for viewing. You will stop at a local restaurant on the way. After your lunch you will then continue with your journey, and you will reach late in the afternoon spending you night at the booked lodge

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking:
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest favors both mountain gorillas and some chimpanzees one of the only forest in Africa which posses these creatures. It also hosts five other species of primate, 100 mammals, around 78 butterflies and 360 bird species.

In the early morning after your breakfast, your driver will transfer you from your lodge with packed lunch to the starting point of your tracking group or UWA headquarters so that you can get a briefing at around (7.45am or 8.30am), then you will start the tracking. The gorillas that you track are very friendly to people, though still there are same groups which are shy, as human being there are those who are sharp and some are stubborn.  Your experienced ranger will help you to spot out their presence. You will be going through the bush, pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. Once you have find the gorillas, you will be able to spend with them up to one hour which is given time, before going back to your lodge.

Note:  (This trek can take from half an hour to 5 hours depending on the area you track and group– a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes). Have your Dinner and overnight at:

Day 4: Transfer to ishasha
After a morning game drive, you depart to Queen Elizabeth via ishasha sector, on the arrival you will go for a game drive to have a view to the tree climbing lions. Check in at your lodge you and then have lunch. In the afternoon you will drive into the wilderness where you will enjoy your evening game drive to have a view to different animals, lions, Uganda kobs, topi and buffalos.

Day 5: Drive to Queen Elizabeth - Game drive & Boat cruise
After your breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park from the plains of wilderness of ishasha and on the way you enjoy a morning game drive together with an experienced ranger you will search for all the wild animals in the park, including; elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, buffalo, waterbuck, leopard, Uganda kob, warthogs, lions and other animals .You will check in your lodge, relax and have lunch.

Afternoon you will enjoy  evening game drive Together with an experienced ranger you will search for all the wild animals in the park, including; elephants, buffalo, waterbuck, leopard, Uganda kob, warthogs, and other animals, have lunch at your lodge.

Day 6: Game drive & Boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast, your guide will take you for an early morning game drive Together with an experienced ranger you will search for all the wild animals in the park, including; elephants, buffalo, waterbuck, leopard, Uganda kob, warthogs, and other animals, have lunch at your lodge

In the afternoon you will take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. You will have a spectacular view to the abundant birdlife that is sighted on the lakes’ showers and the elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Have dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7: Drive Back to Kampala
In the morning after your breakfast, you will relax as you’re getting ready for your journey back to Kampala. You will stop at the equator where you will experience being in two hemispheres at the same time that is if you are interested, have lunch here. You will then continue with the journey arriving in the late afternoon in Kampala and be dropped to the airport to catch your flight.

This Tour is based on a Min-van with 4wd. it seats from up to the maximum of 8 persons. All our used vehicles are well maintained, customized with comfortable seats, a pop up roof which gives a wide viewing 360 angle!!

But in case you want an upgrade to a Land cruiser which is rated as the strongest safari vehicle on the African roads, it’s well maintained, customized with comfortable seats, a pop up roof which gives a wide viewing 360 angle!!. Accommodation  – Mid-range

For this trip accommodation you will be staying in lodge which is built in African safari style tents, comfortably furnished with twin or double beds, a bedside table and a power outlet for charging your electrical equipment, with En-suit bathroom, hot running water and flushing toilets. No need to worry about linen as all bedding and towels are provided
